Wainfleet Children's Centre

We offer something for all ages, from expectant parents, babies and toddlers, right up to when little ones start school. We also hold free adult learning courses, each designed to provide additional skills and support for parents/carers, across a wide range of subjects.

The centre will be closed on Friday 30th March and Monday 2nd April for Easter Holiday


9:30 - 10:30 Parent Led Group

This session is volunteer led. The session offers a variety of fun activities covering all ages from 0-5yrs, the activities provided follow the interests of the children attending the session and families attending are encouraged to share their own thoughts and ideas on activities offered.

11:30 - 12:30 Re-use and Relove Clothes

Why not visit us in the Sunshine Room and view our packs of Pre Loved Clothes for your little ones. These are available Free of Charge. We currently we have packs from Birth — 2 years Why not pop in for a browse!


10:00 - 11:00 Movers and Shakers

Movers and shakers is a fun music and movement session which supports and develops children’s communication and physical skills. The session includes using musical instruments and singing to support early language development and physical activities such as scarves, bubbles, balls and parachute games to develop co-ordination and physical awareness. No booking required.

13:30 - 14:30 Learning Together Babies

Learning together babies offers a variety of activities including messy play, talk time and songs and stories to support babies’ early development, by building their confidence as they learn to explore.


10:00 - 12:00 Health Visitor Assessment Clinic

Health Visitors are available for 6-8 week, 8-12 months & 2 year checks or if you have any concerns regarding your pre-school child to answer your questions. Call 01522 843000.


13:30 - 15:00 Big Cook Little Cook (18 months - 5 years)

Booking required
Children and parents can work together to prepare, and cook a nutritious meal. As well as promoting a healthy lifestyle, children will enjoy cooking alongside their parent /carer while developing their motor skills.


30th March CLOSED for Easter Holiday

10:30 - 11:30 Keepsakes

Next 6 week block will start 6th April This session welcomes new babies and families to the Children’s Centre here at Wain-fleet, the session will run over 6 weeks. The group will offer an opportunity for families to make a variety of “keepsake” items with their children such as hand and foot prints and learning journeys which can be taken home.

13:30 - 15:00 Top Tips for 3- 4 month olds

1st Friday of each month | 2nd March
Family Health workers are available to give advice and support to promote baby led weaning and it’s benefits, healthy eating right from the start of introducing solids into their diet, good oral health, healthy living, immunisation programme, discuss minor illnesses and what to do, discuss emotional wellbeing, discuss age appropriate accident prevention. There will be an opportunity for parents attending this session to self-weigh their baby using the weighing scales provided. Call the Children’s Centre on 01754 880500 to book a place.


10:00 - 11:30 Weekend Fun

Saturday 3rd March - Down on the Farm | Saturday 17th March - Let’s Celebrate St Patricks Day
A fun session for the whole family to come and enjoy, a variety of activities will be on offer such as messy play, gardening and cooking A light brunch is included, prepared by the families who attend, promoting healthy lifestyles in a fun way with the whole family.
