What is the ‘Local Offer’?

The SEN and Disability Local Offer describes what help, support and services are available for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and their families in Lincolnshire.

It will:

  • Include information about education, social care and health services, as well as services provided by voluntary and community groups
  • Provide information about services for children and young people with Education, Health and Care Plans, as well as those without
  • Set out clearly the criteria for getting support
  • Be published on the internet, as well as be available in other formats

Educational Provision

As part of the new SEND Reforms, we must provide a description of the educational and training provision that children and young people with SEN or disabilities can expect to be provided including early years, schools and full range of post-16 providers in Lincolnshire.

Schools must develop and publish more detailed information about their arrangements for identifying, assessing and making provision available for pupils with SEN. For examples of schools local offers and more information on what to publish please see schools and other educational settings local offer
