Council Services:

Safer Communities Service

The Safer Communities Service was created at the council in 2011, bringing together the Community Safety and Trading Standards teams.

The service works with partners across the county to help make Lincolnshire a safe place for residents to live.

This includes:

  • Reducing domestic abuse, incidents of anti-social behaviour and repeat victimisation of vulnerable people.
  • Ensuring a safe, healthy and sustainable food chain for the benefit of consumers and the rural economy.  We protect the supply chain against animal diseases.
  • Supporting economic growth especially in small businesses, by tackling rogue trading, supporting businesses to comply with the law and protecting consumers from scams.
  • We play a co-ordinating role within the County Council and across partners in relation to community safety so that Lincolnshire continues to be a safe place where people can live free from fear of crime.

For further information please visit the Lincolnshire Trading Standards, Domestic Abuse and Lincolnshire Community Safety Partnership websites.
