Road safety education is important for all children and young people, regardless of where they learn. We provide resources to support home educators, parents, carers and community groups in helping children develop the knowledge and skills they need to stay safe when travelling.
Working with community groups, youth organisations, sports clubs and home education networks helps us make road safety messages accessible to more children and young people across Lincolnshire.
We have worked in partnership with Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue to provide a range of online safety resources that can be used in different learning environments. These resources help adults start conversations with children about personal safety, recognising risks and making safer choices.
StayWise online resources (Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue)
Suitable for: Key Stages 1 to 5
Available resources include:
- Pedestrian safety (ages 4 to 7)
- Pedestrian, cycle and scooter safety (ages 7 to 11)
- Drive Safe

Registration is required but is free.
Walk Safe
Suitable for: Ages 4 to 7
A self-led presentation introducing the basic road safety skills children need when travelling as pedestrians with a parent or carer.
Risky or Safe
Suitable for: Ages 7 to 11
A self-led presentation helping children understand risky behaviours around roads and explore safer choices to reduce the risk of injury.
