The Lincolnshire Network Management Plan

The Lincolnshire Network Management Plan describes how the County Council manages the Lincolnshire Highway Network.

The Traffic Management Act 2004 has introduced legislation that provides additional powers to local highway authorities to improve the management of their highway networks.

The main aims of the new legislation is to improve traffic flow by reducing congestion and by providing better co-ordination of all activities that take place in the public highway.

In addition, the new legislation requires the County Council to proactively manage the highway network and to take action on the causes of congestion and disruption for all transport modes.

The Lincolnshire Network Management Plan draws together the County Council’s existing policies on managing the Lincolnshire Highway Network into a single document. In preparing the plan the County Council’s existing policies have been reviewed.

The plan is issued as a live document and will be reviewed annually.

A copy of the plan can be downloaded below.
