Local Transport Plans
Under the Transport Acts 2000 and 2008, every local transport authority in the country has to publish a Local Transport Plan (more commonly known as the LTP).
The LTP sets out an integrated transport strategy for the area and outlines proposals for the future. Authorities are expected to review their LTP from time to time to make sure that it remains up-to-date. Initially this was every 5 years, but more recently authorities have been able to set their own time span for LTPs.
The 4th Lincolnshire Local Transport Plan was published in April 2013 and sets out the transport strategy for the county for the next 10 years.
It is supported by a range of other policies and strategies covering specific transport related issues or areas.
