Visiting the Museum of Lincolnshire Life

All the information you need to plan your visit to the museum. Enhance your visit to the Museum with our new award winning multimedia handheld iGuide (East Midlands Heritage Award for ‘Innovation’ 2015).

Admission to the Museum of Lincolnshire Life and Ellis Windmill is free.

Opening hours

The museum is open throughout the year:

Open daily seven days a week: 10.00 am to 4.30 pm (last entry 4.00 pm).

There is no longer a difference between winter or summer opening times. We are now open Sundays throughout the year.

The Museum has a small car park to the front and side of the building and is fully accessible to wheelchair users. Please see our downloads section below for a copy of our Access Statement which details site accessibility and facilities.

Ellis Mill is open during the following periods:

  • Saturday and Sunday only (April - September) 2pm - 5pm
  • Sunday only (October - March) 2pm - Dusk
