Join the Lincolnshire Youth Council

The Lincolnshire Youth Council is made up of young people aged 12 to 18.  They share ideas and opinions with councillors and managers at Lincolnshire County Council.

Issues they discuss include:

  • mental health and bullying
  • public transport (for example, bus fares)
  • Brexit
  • budgets
  • Parliament Week mini debates

There are around eight meetings a year across the county (mostly on a Saturday); these normally include an activity, for example bowling, lasertag, cinema, arts, archery etc.

There is no cost other than your time, though parents and carers are expected to support with travel.

Public transport is normally reimbursed with a receipt or ticket. You can discuss any travel concerns and solutions with us.

Parents must download and complete the Youth Council parental consent form.
