Voices4Choices

V4C is Lincolnshire’s Council for Looked after Children aged between 8-17 yrs. V4C aims to bring looked after children and young people in Lincolnshire together for social activities and to have a greater say in services.

You, as a V4C member, will be able to have a say in how your local group runs and the kind of activities you’d like to do.

There are 4 V4C groups in the county for 2017 who meet approximately every 6 weeks. The groups are run by Senior Youth and Community Development Workers.

Big Conversation

Three times a year the groups join together, during school holidays, to take part in the Big Conversation. This is an opportunity for V4C members to meet with Children’s Services Team Managers to discuss ways to improve services for Looked after Children.

Care Pledge

The Care Pledge has been made by children and young people working with social workers and managers.

We promise to:

  • Help you know your rights
  • Do what we say we will do
  • Help you gain independence

We expect you to:

  • Do your best at school, college and work
  • Tell us when there’s a problem

Together we will:

  • Listen to and understand each other
  • Be honest with each other
  • Show each other respect
  • Be reliable
  • Do our best to keep you safe
