Council Services:

Youth and Community Development

Youth and Community Development workers provide activities and services to children, young people and families and provide support to other organisations looking to do the same.

They support youth centres to set up provision for children, young people and families. They support community volunteers who may have taken over the running of youth groups. This support comes in the form of guidance on updating practice, sharing ideas and giving guidance so that they are able to deliver better opportunities to children, young people and familys.

The teams also work with the local community to make the local community provision better and to increase children, young people and families participation in the community.

The Youth and Community Development teams work closely in partnership with other teams within Children’s Services at Lincolnshire County Council including Positive Futures, Participation, Early Help as well as many other groups in the community and the Lincolnshire Council for Voluntary Youth Services.
