About adoption
Our adoption service is part of Family Adoption Links, a regional adoption agency consisting of:
- Lincolnshire County Council
- North Lincolnshire Council
- Leicester City Council
- Leicestershire County Council
- Rutland County Council
- Northamptonshire Children's Trust
By working together, we can find the best matches for children across the region. We aim to improve the prospects for children needing to be adopted and people looking to adopt.
Support for adopters
We offer specialist training, therapy and advice to:
- children who have been adopted
- children who are placed for adoption
- prospective adopters
- adoptive parents
- children whose family have adopted
- birth siblings of adoptive children
- anyone with whom the child has had an important relationship
We can offer an assessment of need to find the most suitable help and how it will be delivered.
