Our In-House Day Opportunities service offers good quality building and community based day services for people with disabilities who are eligible for Adult Social Care. The service helps people to live independent and fulfilling lives. We will help people using the service, to develop friendships and to do the everyday things that are important to them. We will also ensure people can be part of and make important contributions to their local communities. The service also provides a level of support for the wider family.
We also offer opportunities for older people and for people with physical disabilities and brain injuries.
Day opportunities help people to:
- Make positive contributions to the community
- Make friends
- Develop relationships
The people we support have personalised activity plans which reflect their interests.
Take part in various interest and activities:
- Woodwork skills
- Baking/Cookery
- Gardening and horticulture
- Simple DIY
- Independent living skills
- Volunteering in their local community
- Craft projects
- Micro enterprise ideas
- Coffee mornings
- Fund Raising
- Or simply to have fun
These activities are a great way to improve wellbeing. It is a chance for the people we support to meet others, build confidence, learn new skills and to live life to the full.
