End-of-life care

At the end of your life, we want to treat you with dignity and respect. We want to ensure you receive high standards of care in your preferred place.

End-of-life care is sometimes called palliative care. It includes any care service that:

  • helps you to live as well as possible, according to your wishes
  • offers appropriate advice for relief of pain and any other symptoms
  • provides support to your family and friends
  • helps you to plan your future care in advance, such as where you would like to be cared for, the type of care you receive and your funeral plans
