Lincolnshire Autism Partnership Board

About the LAPB

The Lincolnshire Autism Partnership Board (LAPB) aims to improve support for autistic people.

It includes local authorities, health providers, police, charities, schools, families, carers and individuals. We want to ensure that:

  • autistic people are respected and understood by their community
  • people know about autism, so that autistic people are treated fairly
  • autistic people live a fulfilling life and can get support if needed

The board meets four times a year and is responsible for delivering Lincolnshire's All-Age Autism Strategy.

The Lincolnshire Autistic Society, have developed a site for anyone looking for information and support about autism.

The society is dedicated to building awareness and understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorders [ASD] (and conditions related to Autism). They aim to help improve the quality of life and outcomes for children and adults, their parents and carers living with ASD.

Autism strategy

The Lincolnshire All-Age Autism Strategy sets out our strategic direction. It outlines how we aim to deliver the objectives set out in the national autism strategy.

We want to support autistic people of all ages and their families so that they have equal opportunity to lead fulfilling lives.

We have identified key themes and issues to prioritise. We will address the concerns that are most important to autistic people and their families.

We welcome all public services, partner organisations and members of the community to join us.

We want Lincolnshire to be a place that respects and supports all autistic people who live here.

Lincolnshire's All-Age Autism Strategy includes key priorities for everyday services. The strategy ensures reasonable adjustments to support autistic people.

Along with us in delivering the strategy are NHS organisations and other multi-agency organisations.

All statutory services have legal requirements to make reasonable adjustments. The Autism Act and other legislation, such as the Equality Act, highlight this.
