About community safety

Community safety in Lincolnshire

Community safety describes the resilience of residents to hazards they may face. These hazards or threats can be criminal or anti-social. The Crime and Disorder Act (1998) made a requirement for all local authorities to have in place a Community Safety Partnership.

The Police and Justice Act 2006 changed this legislation and subsequent regulations came into force in 2007. The regulations set out the minimum requirements for the partnership to ensure effective practice.
