William Farr School Transport Area

1) Can you please provide a map showing the Designated Transport Area (DTA) for the William Farr School in Welton?

There have been no changes to the designated transport area (DTA) for Welton William Farr Comprehensive School.  Children living within the DTA will be eligible for transport if they live over 3 miles from the school.  I have attached another map taken directly from our transport database which gives a more accurate picture.  The thick blue line indicates the designated transport area.

Under the terms of the School and College Transport Policy transport may also be agreed to an alternative school if it is nearer to the pupil’s address than the DTA school. 

If a parent is considering moving address and wants to find out about school travel options I would advise them to provide us with an intended location and we will be able to give more specific advice around transport.  I must add that we do not provide transport from Lincoln to William Farr – a child travelling from a Lincoln address to William Farr is likely to be using a fare paying service.
