I hope you can help South Holland Council have passed this back stating it's your responsibility ,I'm trying to find the weight limit on Pop Bottle Bridge on Wisbech Road as the road turns , some years ago this bridge had major repair but there are no weight limit signs on the bridge so I'm looking for a freedom of information request to find out
1) what ths is as the old documents say 18 ton and
2) why there are no weight limit signs on the road or bridge. - Decision

1) The bridge used to be owned by BRB (British Rail Property Board), it was assessed in 1999 and was found to have a capacity of 13T. Ownership was transferred to Lincolnshire County Council in 2003, where a strengthening scheme was undertaken using Cintec Anchors soon afterwards where the revised capacity of the bridge was 40T
2) After the strengthening scheme in 2003, the bridge was assessed and found to be capable of at least 40T capacity. There is no need to sign a weight limit of less than 40T
