Road resurfacing materials

We are currently collating data from all County Councils across England to get a comparison of how the budget is being distributed for road resurfacing (including cracks, potholes etc). We already have data from Norfolk County Council and would like to get this information in the same format to make it comparable please.

1) Please could you provide us with the data for each column in the attached document, which is about road resurfacing in the 2025/26 financial year. Please include data on all works (including part, fully or not completed). In the attached, you can find a table illustrating how we would like the columns of data to be formatted, including some example entries from Norfolk Council. 

For the column called 'Treatment', we currently have categories for either 'resurfacing' or 'reclamite' so we kindly request if you can map your data to these categories as closely as possible. However, we understand that your council may use different treatment methods, so if this is the case, please populate the column with the treatment options you provide. We will need this treatment broken down by District, Parish, Road Number and Location.

* Please note that the Council does not use Reclamite as a road treatment method. Therefore, no works have been recorded under this treatment category.’
