I am a journalist researching local emergency preparedness, with a particular focus on community resilience and the infrastructure available to support the public in the event of a major emergency such as a prolonged power outage, a heatwave, or a flooding event.
I understand that your authority serves as the lead body for the Local Resilience Forum for this area and accordingly holds, or has access to, relevant emergency preparedness information. I have kept this request as narrow as possible to minimise the burden on your authority.
Please provide the following information regarding how your authority communicates emergency preparedness responsibilities to the public:
1) Whether your authority has a programme to inform constituents of their own responsibility to prepare for emergencies (e.g. maintaining supplies of food, water, medicine, and communications equipment)
2) The methods used to communicate this (e.g. leaflets, dedicated website, information campaigns)
3) Whether your authority has a dedicated app, alert system, or other digital tool for communicating with the public during a crisis - Decision

1. We do have a programme to inform constituents of their responsibilities to prepare for emergencies through our community resilience programme which assists communities to put together their own local emergency plans. Details can be found on the LRF website: https:www.lincolnshireresilienceforum.org
2. We use a full range of methods to communicate this which includes, face to face presentations and training, info on the LRF and partner websites, leaflets and LRF warn and inform campaigns. We also publicise through social media channels and local radio and press.
3. Nothing dedicated, but there are methods in place for use during emergency situations.
