Given the condition of the pathway, please could you provide the following:

 

1) Full and absolute details of the criteria and assessment standards used by the Council in determining whether defects to a public highway warrant repair, and in particular the specific criteria applied by the inspecting officer when determining that the defects at this location do not meet the threshold for remedial works.

 

2) I would also ask that you provide, insofar as possible, the date and details of the inspection undertaken, including the nature of the defects identified, how they were assessed against the Council's criteria, and the reasons why the condition of this particular pathway was considered insufficient to warrant repair.

  

3) Please also provide the Council's complete criteria for highway defects and the specific assessment undertaken at this location, so that we can understand precisely how the conclusion that no remedial works are required has been reached.

2) Multiple inspections of this location have been conducted by trained inspecting officers, who make a risk based assessment against the criteria provided in points 1 and 3. If defects do not meet the intervention thresholds and risk based assessment deems no further action is required, the outcome will be one of no further action.
