Reinforced concrete half-joint structures

I would be grateful if you could confirm whether your authority owns or maintains any reinforced concrete half-joint structures. If so, please provide the following information for each structure.



Part 1 - Identification

a. Structure name

b. OS grid reference or coordinates

c. Number of half-joints (if known)

d. Road designation (i.e. the road carried BY the bridge) - A / B / unclassified

e. Year opened or constructed (if known)



Part 2 - Assessment and Inspection

a. Has a formal structural assessment been carried out? (Y/N)

a.1 If yes, which standard was used (e.g. CS 466, BA 39/93, other)?

a.2 If yes, what is the current assessment rating (tonnes)?

b. Is the structure formally classified as substandard under CS 470, BD 79/13, other? (Y/N)

c. Date of the last General Inspection

d. Date of the last Principal Inspection

e. Date of the last Special Inspection, if any has been carried out

f .1 If applicable, what was the reason this inspection was triggered?



Part 3 - Current Status and Management

a. Are any traffic or access restrictions currently in place? (Y/N)

a.1 If yes, please describe (e.g. single-lane working with signals, weight limit stated in tonnes, full closure)

b. Are any engineering measures currently in place to manage the structure's condition? (Y/N)

b.1 If yes, please describe (e.g. monitoring instrumentation, propping, load testing, previous strengthening works)



If your authority holds no reinforced concrete half-joint structures, a simple confirmation of that would be very helpful and no further response would be required.

I would be grateful to receive this information in a structured format such as a spreadsheet, in accordance with Regulation 6 of the EIR 2004. To assist with formatting, I have attached a spreadsheet template with one row per structure.
