Please see attached spreadsheet for the response with data available from 01/04/2019. Please note the following caveats.
1. Data has been provided based on the RTCs within Lincolnshire that were attended by an FRS. In addition, LFR are only able to provide full financial year data starting 2019-20 onwards.
Please note that an FRS attendance is not required at all RTCs therefore, the information provided should not be considered a comprehensive record of all RTCs occurring within the area of interest. For a complete picture, the requester may wish to contact the Lincolnshire Road Safety Partnership, which will hold additional relevant information. In addition, the area stipulated in the request extends outside of Lincolnshire.
LFR are only able to provide data relating to the section of road that is within Lincolnshire. An image has been provided to illustrate the section of carriageway that has been used for the purposes of our analysis and which we believe reflects the area referred to in the request. We use a 100-metre buffer either side of the roadway in case any incidents have a zone extending beyond the road itself. To obtain information relating to the section outside Lincolnshire, the requester may wish to contact Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue.
2. In addition to the above context, Fire and Rescue are not always made aware of victims involved in RTCs. The data provided is that which was made known to the attending F&R crews whilst at scene and therefore should not be considered a comprehensive record of injuries sustained at RTCs. For a complete picture, the requestor may wish to contact to Lincolnshire Road Safety Partnership which will hold additional relevant information.
3. Fire and Rescue national incident recording system does not record RTCs by level of severity. Data has been provided showing the breakdown of RTC type as an alternative and includes all types.
4. As above for Q3. In addition, an average cost per hour per appliance, using the maximum duration of each incident, has been used to provide a rough indication of cost but should not be taken as an exact cost incurred by LFR.
5. The FOI Act is for recorded information only
