Introduction

An interactive skills led programme which explores, educates and empowers positive decision-making to prevent knife crime. This training can be used as evidence towards helping you achieve SMSC.

Outcomes

The learning aims are:

  • exploring triggers and attitudes to knife possession
  • raising awareness of hazards and impacts of knife possession
  • understanding legal and health implications
Service Description

Delivered by the Youth Offending Service, this programme is aimed at young people aged 11 - 17.  It is offered to any secondary school where there is a clearly identified need around knife crime. The session can be tailored to meet the needs of the young people / school, to allow for greater impact and effectiveness of the work undertaken. Each workshop can last up to 1 hour.

Availability

The workshops are run in schools, during term time at a mutually convenient time to suit both parties
