- Service Description

Horizon Young Person Service offer support to young people up to 18 years old within Lincolnshire. Horizon supports young people to make changes to their drug or alcohol use, whether it’s to cut down, quit, gain control or just learn more about the risk and effects we can support. We provide up-to-date information about drugs and alcohol, early intervention and education sessions to both primary and secondary schools students.
The session will last between 60 and 90 minutes (dependent upon each school's preference), including time for questions.
- the sessions are interactive to encourage engagement, using a variety of resources to meet and adapt to different learning styles
- these sessions are normally delivered to class sized groups. However, we are willing to discuss the option of delivery to larger groups in the school hall
We also recognise that many young people are affected by someone else’s substance use. Our Beacon Friends and Family Service supports children from ages five years upwards. Work with young people focuses on protective behaviours, including helping them understand their emotions and how to manage these, referrals can be made via our website.
