Dyslexia Outreach Support - EduLincs

Overview

The Dyslexia Outreach Team is part of the specialist teaching team. We offer enhanced support for children and young people with dyslexia.

We can provide:

  • whole school training
  • training for teaching assistants
  • workshops and drop-in sessions for parents and carers
  • governor training
  • helpline advice to students, parents or carers, SENCos, teachers and teaching assistants regarding dyslexia, dyscalculia and other cognition and learning difficulties.

Whole school training packages can be delivered as part of an INSET day or as a twilight session. These include:

  • dyslexia awareness and strategies
  • dyscalculia and maths difficulties
  • memory and metacognition
  • using a morphological approach to teaching literacy
  • examination access arrangements

We are also happy to offer bespoke training packages. Contact the team to discuss.

Cost
  • Whole school training £148
  • Bespoke training packages - £74 per delivery hour, plus preparation time which will be agreed in advance with the setting. Minimum charge £148
  • TA Training package - free of charge during the school day for all schools or £148 when delivered outside of school hours (for example, as a twilight session)
  • Dyslexia advice helpline - free of charge for all schools and families 
  • Support and Advice Sessions for parents – free of charge

Training support can be provided to a cluster of schools, with the cost being shared.
