Media training

Effective communication plans, key messages and preparation for interviews is essential to be able to respond well and protect the reputation of your school.

We provide comprehensive external media training sessions for head teachers and governors. This helps ensure your media plans and protocols are in place for effective media management.

Training will also include guidance and information to take away to ensure your media plans are up to date and relevant.

We have extensive knowledge of the media, both locally and nationally. This is complemented by our many years of advising schools.

We have successfully improved the communications and response to media enquiries for schools and academies. This has led to improved communications and good reputation management.

We have:

  • extensive knowledge of the media landscape in the county and nationally
  • strong experience in planning for and overcoming crisis situations in communications with the media
  • a positive working relationship with schools, academies and other educational organisations
  • provided point of contact support for schools and academies in their emergency plans
  • Full-day training session (minimum of 10 delegates) - £548.74
  • Half-day training session (minimum of 5 delegates) - £286.37

Cluster working with schools

We encourage collaboration between schools to arrange suitable numbers for a full or half-day’s training session.

By interacting with head teachers, governors or relevant staff from other schools during the day, you will get the best out of any training session.

All requests for training and charging will need to be through the lead school within the cluster.

Delivery will also take place either at the lead school or another school within the cluster, as agreed with the lead school.
