  1. To help us understand how other local authorities manage car parking and car parking charges for staff, please answer the following questions:

a) Do you provide parking for staff?

b) How many car parking spaces are available for members of staff to use?

c) Are these spaces allocated to staff members via parking permits? If no please specify how parking for staff is managed.

d) Do you charge staff for parking?

e) If you do charge staff for parking, please confirm how much each staff member is charged per annum?

f) Do you charge staff members based on pay grade/salary?

g) Do you deduct the parking charges directly from the staff members salary?

h) Do you provide circumstantial discounts for staff parking e.g. part time staff, car shares.

i) Do you provide free parking for disabled blue badge holders?

j) If you do charge for staff parking, please provide electronic copies of procedures and processes for the application and payment of a parking permit.

k) If you do charge staff for parking, please provide electronic copies of staff parking regulations, policies and terms and conditions.

Decision

a. Yes car parking is provided on a number of council office sites.

b. Lincolnshire County Council (LCC) do not have a total number across all council offices, however the central Newland campus has 298 staff spaces.

c. The spaces on the Newland Campus are available for staff following a management assessment.

d. Staff are not charged for car parking in council office car parks.
