Domiciliary Care - Find a freedom of information request

Request

1. Do you commission domiciliary care calls in increments of 15 minutes (i.e. 15, 30, 45, 60 minutes)? If not, which time increments do you commission?

2. Does your local authority directly deliver domiciliary care or is it outsourced to the private/third sector? If it's a split between the two, are you able to estimate what percentage is outsourced and what percentage is directly delivered?

3. Do your Social Workers have real-time access to their clients' domiciliary care-delivery records?"

Decision

1. Lincolnshire County Council has a Brokerage Team who micro-commission care calls depending on individual needs. The calls can be commissioned in one minute intervals.

2. The Local Authority ( Lincolnshire County Council) does not deliver any domiciliary care services. This is all delivered through commissioned services.

3. Social workers do not have access to a "live" environment regarding care calls in progress. This information is available to social workers for the purpose of audit and review as and when required.
