Cyber referrals – supporting vulnerable students

Promoting good cyber security across all schools.

Outcomes

This workshop will enable students to:

  • explaining the difference between legal and illegal cyber activity
  • encouraging individuals to make informed choices in their use of technology
  • increasing awareness of the Computer Misuse Act 1990
  • promoting positive, legal cyber opportunities
Service Description

Some students with an interest in hacking may be at risk of committing cyber offences or may have already done so. The East Midlands Special Operations Unit (EMSOU) offers to work with schools, guardians, or other relevant parties to develop a bespoke intervention package for such pupils.

Where appropriate, EMSOU will provide safe and constructive opportunities for the student to explore cybersecurity in a way that supports positive future pathways.

Availability

Bespoke intervention package for individual students. Completion of a referral form is required. Free to access.
