This RSPB nature reserve is on the shores of The Wash. It provides excellent views of water birds on the salt water lagoon, especially at high tide when wading birds roost - sometimes in their thousands. The reserve is made up of wet grassland as well as the salt water lagoon.
Dogs must be kept on the path and under close control.
There is a parking charge.

Tarmac surface parking is available for the disabled. The adjacent car park is made up of compacted stone in places.
Route one
The path surface consists of compacted stone with some loose stones.
- Steepest uphill section: 1:6 (16%) for a distance of 40m
- Steepest downhill section: 1:6 (16%) for a distance of 40m
- Narrowest point: all paths are over one metre wide. The entrance to the bird hide is 88cm
- Greatest cross slope: both routes one and two are level
Route two
The path surface consists of old concrete road.
- Steepest uphill section: 1:9 (11%) for a distance of 26m
- Steepest downhill section: 1:9 (11%) for a distance of 26m
- Narrowest point: all paths are over one metre wide. One gate access that is 99cm wide
- Greatest cross slope: both routes one and two are level
