Market position statement - Policies, strategies and plans

Description

Lincolnshire's Market Position Statement (MPS) reflects:

  • market intelligence and information on current social care needs
  • our thoughts on how demand for services will change
  • how these changes could be met in the future.

The MPS is presented in a way which outlines different themes of support and potential services rather than traditional client groupings. This is to support providers by highlighting the broad range of opportunities that there are in the market across various sectors.

The MPS also contains key information and statistics on:

  • needs
  • demands and trends (including for specialised services, personalisation, integration, housing, community services, information services and advocacy and carers' services)
  • an indication of current and future authority resourcing and financial forecasts
  • a summary of supply and demand
  • the authority’s ambitions for quality improvements and new types of services and innovations
  • details local authority’s own commissioning intentions, strategies and practices
