Independent Living to Young People - Find a freedom of information request

Request

1. I’m wanting to know the names of the organisations that provide help and support i.e. Independent Living to Young People below the age of 18 years old within the local authority?

2. Also, what companies does the local authority sub contract this type of service to?

Decision

1. Lincolnshire County Council have used a number of organisations to provide semi-independent support accommodation to young people aged 16-18:

Lincolnshire Strategic Partnership to provide Housing Related Support ('Youth Housing') to young people at risk of homelessness, in three locations throughout Lincolnshire. Nacro is the lead agency for the contract, and sub-contract one project to LEAP. Lincolnshire have recently tendered for a new contract which has been awarded to Nacro.

Intense Needs Supported Accommodation (INSA) supports a range of young people in unregulated provision – Lincolnshire County Council currently have young people placed with Sixteen Plus and 24/7 Support UK Ltd.

Supported accommodation for Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC) – Lincolnshire County Council currently have young people placed with Locate Accommodation Ltd.

Lincolnshire also has its own in-house unregulated supported accommodation at two locations.

2. As above.
