It may be helpful to know that currently the council is piloting the use of software that allows a limited number of council staff to access council email securely on their own personal device.

4. No. Currently the council is piloting the use of BYOD to understand the benefits it brings to the council and to better understand the risks it presents. An explicit BYOD policy will be produced if the council decides to roll out the solution corporately.
