Fire and Rescue Service Disclosures to RSPCA - Find a freedom of information request

Request

1. Please state the number of times your fire and rescue service has disclosed personal information to the RSPCA in each of the last three calendar years and the current year to date, for reasons related to the prevention or detection of crime.

This would most likely be under section 29 of the DPA 1998 exemptions or schedule 2 part 1 of the DPA 2018 exemptions.

If you do not hold data centrally or in a collatable form, please confirm whether you have provided personal information to the RSPCA in the period.

 

2. Please provide a list of the kinds of personal information your authority has provided the RSPCA in this time. This could include personal details, addresses, interview transcripts, records, reports or CCTV footage.

 

3. Please provide a copy of any guidance your authority holds on the process by which personal information can be disclosed by your authority to the RSPCA.

1. We do not routinely record this information. However Fire and Rescue Services have an obligation to contact the RSPCA if they are concerned about the welfare of an animal or animals. We therefore have information on when we have shared personal information with the RSPCA.
