High Street Parking Costs - Find a freedom of information request

Request

1. How much it costs to park on your high streets (a breakdown of rates per hour/day).

 

2. The volume of tickets supplied over the period: January 2019-December 2019. If this information is not available, I would appreciate as much information as you are able to provide.

 

3. Revenue received from car parking over this period. If this information is not available, I would appreciate as much information as you are able to provide.

Decision

1. Lincolnshire County Council does not charge for on street parking, instead offering free parking on a limited waiting basis. There are a small number of on street pay and display areas located within Boston, however these are managed and administered by Boston Borough Council.

 

2. This information can be found via our website (https://lincolnshire.ckan.io/dataset/pcns) which displays PCNs issued for on street contraventions only, PCNs issued in car parks are managed by District Councils. As such, this information is exempt from disclosure in accordance with the exemption set out at Section 21 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 which provides that a public authority need not comply with a request for disclosure under the Act where that information is reasonably accessible by other means.

 

3. We do not manage car parks in Lincolnshire; these are administered by District Councils.
