Grantham Charter Trustees (Road Closure) - Find a freedom of information request

A Road Closure was in place on December 26 2016, for St Peters Hill, Grantham  ( copy attached)  The application was made by Grantham Charter Trustees. 

 

An advert was in the Grantham Journal on Friday 23 December 2016, in the Public notices section. 

 

Could you please provide the following information.

1. Were any costs applied to the Grantham Charter Trustees or were they exempt for the Road Closure application for 26/12/16.

2. If they (Grantham Charter Trustees) were exempt who paid for the official notice which appeared in the Grantham Journal on Friday  23/12/16

3. If Grantham Charter Trustees were exempt could you please explain on what grounds they claimed exemption for payment.

4. Could you confirm if any other individual person or organisation funded the official road closure on 26/12/16. This would include payment for adverts and applications ( this lists is not exclusive just examples)

Decision

1. The Grantham Charter Trustees are a non profit organisation so no charge would be made for LCC to process the application.

2. LCC paid for the advert as it is a statutory requirement to advertise temporary traffic restrictions.

3. Please see Q1 above

4. LCC is not aware of any funding from other parties relating to this Temporary Traffic Restriction Order.
