Dismantled Fountain - Newark Road - Find a freedom of information request

Request

We have wondered, for a long time, what happened to the Fountain that stood at the end of Brant Road (Newark Road end). It was 50 years ago that it was damaged by a car and dismantled.

Can you search your files and see if you can find what happened to the parts - it was used as a horse trough and had Truth Mercy and Peace inscribed in the granite.

Think it was 1969 when it was dismantled. It would be great if it could be resurrected somewhere - it was given to Bracebridge by Rev Ellison to commemorate Queen Victoria's Jubilee I believe. Someone mentioned it may have gone to the Museum of Lincolnshire Life.
