Carriageway and Footway Maintenance - Naam Place - Find a freedom of information request

Request

Thank you for undertaking the FOI for me. I have a few questions I wondered if you could help with.

1. Firstly you stated that the LCC has nothing on record in the last 6 years, is there anything on record outside these 6 years? Such as going back as far as 2000.

2. Secondly you claim that LCC maintain the carriageway and footway on Naam Place. The area I mentioned and referred to is Naam Place. Indeed a relatively new build home outside the flats has an address of being 10 Naam Place, LN1 3LA. The curb-stones (for dropped curbs) would come under the remit of carriageways, although of course these would only show up if residents had actually applied for such permissions.

3. Lastly from your findings would you consider that the road in question (or that part of it) is not owned by the LCC?

Decision

According to LCC's records, LCC maintain Naam Place – however just the 'loop' – e.g. the road between 65/67 Burton Road, looping round to 96/98 Rasen Lane, just this main loop. Therefore LCC believe that they do not maintain the small section of road that covers the rear of 10 Naam Place (section of road between 88 and Sastangate House) that you are referring to. This section is shown as City of Lincoln Amenity Land.

Therefore any application if received, for an access, would possibly have been dealt with and approved by the City of Lincoln Council. I would therefore suggest you contact them for further advice.
