Parking Enforcement - Ruskington Village - Find a freedom of information request

Request

I am writing to request information regarding parking enforcement in one particular part of Ruskington village.

As you may be aware, there are double yellow lines on the narrow road from numbers 2-12 Church Street, Ruskington, in order to avoid congestion and to prevent accidents. However, I cannot remember the last time that I drove along this road without a car being parked on the double yellow lines. It is apparent that there have been no repercussions for those violating the rules along this road, and as such, individuals have continued to park there care-free. The information I am requesting from the Parish Council is:

1. The number of parking fines issued to drivers along this section of road in the last 12 months.

2. The number of visits made by parking enforcement agents to this area of the village in the past 2 months.

3. The cost to create the double yellow lines, both in manhours and pounds spent.

I am grateful to the County Council for providing this information and for supporting our local MP's goal of reducing congestion in the Sleaford and North Hykeham region.

Decision

1. Nil.

2. Between 1 September and 17 November: One visit.

3. The cost for the Traffic Regulation Order was approximately £1500. As contracted works are on a price basis the number of manhours is not known.
