Full-time staff social workers - Find a freedom of information request

Please could I ask the following questions under the Freedom of Information Act, which we are asking of all children's services departments in England:

1. How many full-time staff social workers are currently employed in the children's services department?

2. How many locum/agency social workers are currently employed/hired within the children's services department?

3. How many social worker vacancies are there currently in the children's services department?

4. How much has the department spent for each of the past three financial years on full-time staff social worker salaries?

5. How much has the department spent for each of the past three financial years on locum/agency social workers (including any consultancy fees)?

6. How many staff social workers have left the department in the past year (ie no longer work there)?

I can confirm that the information requested is held by Lincolnshire County Council. I have detailed below the information that is being released to you.

1.There are 141 full time staff social workers are currently employed in the children's services department.

2. There are 23 locum/agency social workers currently employed/hired within the children's services department. 3.There are 46 social worker vacancies currently in the children's services department.

4.The department has spent the below for each of the past three financial years on fulltime staff social worker salaries 2019/20 £4.9m 2020/21 £4.8m 2021/22 £4.5m

5. The department has spent the below for each of the past three financial years on locum/agency social workers (including any consultancy fees)

2019/20 £1.5m

2020/21 £1.2m

2021/22 £1.6m

6. 33 staff social workers have left the department in the past year.
