Parking signs at Barrowby - Find a freedom of information request

Request

Request relates to FOI 2622505 Date request received 14 October 2021 Date of decision 22 October 2021

1. As the signs at Barrowby have times not to park this means they are enforceable.

2. Why was an incorrect answer given to the original query.

3. What are the instances in last 5 years where the local authority has fined a motorist for parking on zig zag lines and white lines outside schools?

Decision

I can confirm that the information requested is held by Lincolnshire County Council. I have detailed below the information that is being released to you.

1. The signs at the start of the zigzag markings do indeed state times of operation but these are also advisory and not supported by a traffic regulation order and are therefore not enforceable.

2. The Freedom of Information Act is for recorded information only.

3. As the signs and lines are advisory and therefore not enforceable, LCC cannot issue penalty charge notices to vehicles ignoring them.
