​I therefore request under The Freedom of Information that you supply the following:

​A151 Spalding Road in Twenty near Bourne

1). The date the work was carried out this location to replace the crash barrier.

2). Details of how the barrier was damaged and when this occurred.

3). What was the contractor directed to do with regards replacement of the barrier and signage to be placed.

4). Was a survey conducted at this known dangerous location to improve road safety and the visibility of the bend?

5). Where the approach signs inspected for clarity and position.

6). Lastly  why you think it's appropriate to place an authorised turn left sign affixed to the new crash barrier.

Decision

I can confirm that the information requested is held by Lincolnshire County Council. I have detailed below the information that is being released to you.

1. Repairs to the safety fence were completed 23/2/22

2. Lincs police reported the damage to us ref 478 - 18/8/22, I understand it was a LGV vehicle that left the road

3. An order was issued for the safety fence to be repaired, a separate order was issued for the chevron sign replacement. The chevron sign was replaced on 18/08/22

4. No, accident history does not support this statement, there is no visibility issue.

5. Yes advance bend warning sign replaced 26/7/22 as it had faded.

6. LCC did not place it, the safety fence contractor left it on site, it will be removed when the chevron sign is replaced.
