Major fires in the service area - Find a freedom of information request

Request

1) We would therefore like to request any records you have of major fires in your service area dating back to the 1950 when PFAS-based foams were first used. We are thinking of 'major fires' as being an emergency incident involving:

a) large numbers of people (directly or indirectly)the rescue and/or transport of a large number of casualties the handling of a large number of enquiries from the public, media and likely

b) Police a large scale mobilisation of resources, including a combined response from the emergency services.

2) Could you please advise if Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue has a categorisation system for the severity of fires in your service area?

I can confirm that the information requested is held by Lincolnshire County Council. I have detailed below the information that is being released to you.

Please find attached spreadsheet Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue do not hold records back to 1950.

For the purpose of this request data has been used for the period 01 January 2014 - 30 November 2022.

Data is recorded on the national Incident Recording System and has been extracted where the type of equipment has been recorded as one of the foam categories.

Data counts can be found on the worksheet called 'results' and the rows of data are located in 'raw data'
