Chemicals (household) - Waste A-Z

What to do
Chemicals should not be placed in any bin as they need specialist treatment for safe disposal.

Household chemicals are accepted at all Household Waste Recycling Centres where staff will access locked storage.

A free collection of small quantities can be requested for chemicals such as fertiliser, photographic chemicals and mercury (thermometers). This is financed by us, but requests can be taken by contacting your district council.

Household chemicals are also accepted at all recycling centres where staff will have access to locked storage.
