Net zero/carbon emission reduction advertising campaigns - Find a freedom of information request

Request

Please can you provide:

1) the total figure for how much the council has spent on net zero/carbon emission reduction advertising campaigns, including money on public communications, social media adverts, public relations and other marketing.

2) the total figure of any planned future expenditures on net zero/carbon emission reduction advertising campaigns, including money on public communications, social media adverts, public relations and other marketing.

Decision

1. Lincolnshire County Council (LCC) has spent around £1,000 on net zero advertising. This has included advertising on Facebook, paid articles in local newspapers and promotional flyers. LCC has also used its social media outlets and County News newspaper to provide regular updates to residents on climate change policies and projects.

2. There are no definite current plans for future spending on net zero advertising. LCC is working with the district councils in Lincolnshire to develop a joint marketing campaign on climate change - but no definite spending plans have come from this to date. It is likely that future editions of County News will feature articles on the climate change projects undertaken by LCC.
