Online safety workshop for year 5 students

Outcomes

This workshop will enable students to:

  • Recognise that people can present differently online to how they are in real life. 
  • Identify methods of protecting ourselves from strangers and how we can manage unkind behaviour online. 

Determine what information could be shared safely online 

Service Description

This interactive workshop is age-appropriate and inclusive. It encourages active participation and questions from students while promoting safe and positive online experiences. Key topics include the difference between friends and strangers, recognising that not everyone on the internet is trustworthy and the importance of protecting our personal information, including potential risks when sharing information online. The session also provides practical examples and tips for students to explore safety features including how to block and report on popular apps

Follow-up resources are provided to reinforce learning and support ongoing development.

This workshop is available to all year 5 students across Lincolnshire. The sessions are either a morning or afternoon. Please contact to discuss availability.
