This workshop will enable students to:
- Identify the positive uses of online technology
- Define behaviours online which could be malicious or abusive
- List methods which can enable safe online use when faced with abusive behaviour

This interactive workshop introduces students to the ‘Lincolnshire School for Online Wizards’, where they are sorted into teams and engage in activities to explore some of the challenges and responsibilities of being online. Students begin by discussing the positives of internet use, then examine gaming behaviours. They reflect on their own conduct and learn about the Malicious Communications Act, understanding the real-world consequences of harmful online behaviour. Through magic-themed activities, they will choose appropriate ways to deal with challenging scenarios online.
