No entry sign from the junction of The Crescent and Spring Gardens in Spalding - Find a freedom of information request

Information relating to the removal of the second no entry sign from the junction of The Crescent and Spring Gardens in Spalding. Specifically, I require the below:

1. Copies of any minutes undertaken in meetings with the Signs and Lines and Street Lighting teams that discussed and resulted in the removal of the second no entry sign

2. Information relating to the justification for the removal of the sign

If not indicated in the above, specific information on the recorded and documented incidents that affected this sign up until it's removal - e.g. vehicle damage report, vandalism report, sign maintenance etc.

Information on the cost to keep the sign in place over the years, including repairs required after damage and the maintenance costs.

Decision

1. No information held.

2. 25th June 2016 – Lincolnshire County Council (LCC) Enquiry Number 1805660 - Police report received following Incident 109 – 08:50am – Illuminated Give Way/One Way sign hit by vehicle leaving wires exposed. Street Lighting Contractor attended, lit signpost removed, and area made safe. Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions (TSRGD) 2016 used by officers to consider a suitable replacement. Department for Transport (DfT) Circular 01/2016 states in section 6.3: Those directions previously prescribing the placing of two signs indicating the beginning and end of a prohibition, restriction or requirement have been removed. Only one sign is now required.

Detail of the incident which resulted in the illuminated sign and post being removed is provided above. The cost for make safe repairs required after damage from the incident in 2016 were £457.00. The cost to keep the sign in place between 2010 and 2016 was £309.00 for fault repairs, inspection and maintenance, and £84.00 for energy
