Regarding the number of wire counter type devices that have been laid all around Lincoln area:



1. What is the full reasons for these wires being laid

2. Who has laid these wires council or contractor if so name of contractor

3. How much it costs for the whole exercise

4. what information does these wires give out

5 who is monitoring the wires

6. Can you confirm this has nothing whatsoever to do with any future ulez type schemes or any other restrictions

7. Does LCC have any plans like Oxford and other cities to make 20 minute zones

Decision

1. To collect traffic data.

2. Lincolnshire County Council (LCC) has commissioned WSP to collect the data.

3. This information is Commercially Sensitive. The total cost of the works are split between bespoke quotations from suppliers or WSP's staff time. If LCC provide this information, then competitors can easily break the broad costs down to work out WSP's staff charge rates and the suppliers quoted rates.

4. Number and type of vehicles I.E. car, bus, HGV, etc.

5. WSP, however the Automatic Traffic Counters have now been removed.

6. Yes, LCC can confirm it doesn’t.

7. There are no immediate plans.
