1. Monthly number of full time equivalent (FTE) days lost due to of sickness absence from 1 April 2022 - 31 March 2023, for the following employee groups:

a. Adult social care staff

b. Children's social care staff

2. Monthly number of full time equivalent (FTE) days lost by reason for sickness absence* from 1 April 2022 - 31 March 2023, for the following employee groups:

c. Adult social care staff

d. Children's social care staff

* Reason for sickness absence being type of illness recorded, e.g. anxiety/stress/depression/other psychiatric illness; Covid-19; Back problems, Cold/cough/flu; Ear, nose and throat etc as recorded by the local authority.

*The Council monitors sickness absence on a monthly basis and takes actions to address this at individual, team, Director Area or Whole Council level. Examples of action taken at Corporate level include the provision of health and wellbeing advice including sign posting to mental health support for those who are absent due to psychiatric illnesses. Benchmarking shows that the Council's overall sickness levels are generally slightly lower than other Councils.
