*The Council monitors sickness absence on a monthly basis and takes actions to address this at individual, team, Director Area or Whole Council level. Examples of action taken at Corporate level include the provision of health and wellbeing advice including sign posting to mental health support for those who are absent due to psychiatric illnesses. Benchmarking shows that the Council's overall sickness levels are generally slightly lower than other Councils.
